  8.         Nonlin performs linear and nonlinear statistical regression
  9.         analysis. Nonlin determines the values of parameters for an
  10.         equation, whose form you specify, that cause the equation to
  11.         best fit a set of data values. Nonlin can handle linear,
  12.         multivariate, polynomial, logistic, and general nonlinear
  13.         equations.  You specify the form of the equation using normal
  14.         algebraic notation. Nonlin includes a rich set of built-in
  15.         library functions such as trig, probability, exponential, log,
  16.         Bessel, etc. that you can use in the equation being fitted to
  17.         the data.

  19.         In addition to fitting the equation to the data, Nonlin
  20.         determines a variety of statistics including confidence
  21.         intervals, t and F statistics, and Durbin-Watson test for
  22.         autocorrelation. Nonlin can also plot the data and fitted
  23.         equation.

  25.         Nonlin includes a 60 page manual that explains regression
  26.         analysis and gives many examples.

  29.         program available.
